• Spheres of Joy

    These little balls are healthy and will give you lots of energy. They are made with dates and cashews.

    3/4 cup dates
    1/2 cup cashews
    2 tbsp cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    Dash salt
    1 tbsp chocolate chips

    Place all ingredients except chocolate chips in a food processor or blender and blend until everything is chopped up and has come together.

    Add chocolate chips and stir them in.

    Shape mixture into balls

    The time needed to cook this recipe is under 30 minutes.

  1. Could figs be subbed for the dates? I don’t have dates, but have inherited a copious amount of figs.

    Hi Jen. I think dried figs would work really well in this. You could probably use any dried fruit and get good results. I have made a version of this using prunes too. Let me know how they turn out

    I make these all the time! (there is usually lots of ‘ball’ jokes when I make them) except I use hemp instead of cashews. My favourite is to add a bit of cocoa and some sugar-free peanut butter.
